This project is open for proposals. I am currently looking for an illustrator / artist to do character designs suitable for use on a trading card series, on a website, and within the proposals for an illustrated children's book.

"Craigslist Ad" - slightly revised:

Illustrator / artist needed for the development of characters and scenes for fantasy/space/science fiction story for kids age 7-12. I am producing a new concept storyline with trading cards, online information/games, an possibly printed books and animation.

We will start with 6-10 characters (alien and human kids) in 1 or more poses/perspectives. We will also have some inanimate objects like a spaceship and some unique alien items. We will explore the possibility of having our little group in various activities in a scene or two.

This work will be digital files for digital media including online and print. (Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop PSD sources preferred).

Concepts and art are new creations and must be available for exclusive use by our project. Art will be in the cartoon and comic book character style (like www.finelineproperties.com) and will be light, colorful and fun. They will not be dark, menacing, or scary (unless it is a funny scary). Concepts are available now and still emerging, allowing for and asking for creative inputs.

My ideal artist will be / become an enthusiastic partner in this project since it may expand to be more than this starting work. You will have experience in character and scene design but won't necessarily have to be a professional, published artist (yet). You will be creative, light, colorful and fun. Our ability to work with each other is very important, but you don't have to live near me in Portland.

The job is for pay (to-be-negotiated), part-time, contract, and needs to be done remotely.
