Who (or what) will be the next Alien Inventor?

Alien Inventors™ - The Concept
the fun, creative, out-of-this-world invention contest
for kids and kids at heart

This project was born as a way to create a trading card series for my emerging business Insetcards. Insetcards are postcards with embedded trading / collectible cards - where the postcards are advertisments & promotions and the inset cards are items that the recipient may trade / collect. (You can see all you want about Insetcards on its website: www.insetcards.com . I realize now that the "Alien Inventors" project will grow into more areas than just this.

The first phase of the aliens project is the development of a real collectible trading card series called Alien Inventors and the stories behind them. (Note: Collectible series and fantasy trading card games are based on a real or fictional group/place/time. When it is fictional, there are stories that make them seem more real. Hence the initial need for the stories that will go on the website and into the books.) I will create some trading cards and send them to potential buyers (I recently mailed my products to over 1000 top US corporate creative / marketing executives including Disney, Sony Pictures, etc). I will expand the stories for a website and will write one or more adventures/stories/treatments as a proposal for an illustrated book, a picture book, and/or some form of animated entertainment.

It has been a dream of mine to create a story for children that teaches and entertains. This opportunity is very exciting, for it not only has the potential to become a fully developed set of stories, but it also bridges my passions for inventing, space adventures, and learning. I believe that the creative capacity of our kids is a vast resource yet to be seen (school has a different focus, getting by has different requirements, and the forum for expressing one's "inventive" creativity needs a greater exposure).

About the Alien Inventors inventor:

Hi. I'm Brian and I'm an inventor. I've spent most of my professional life in a creative design role, specifically in electrical engineering and computer science. I hold a Master Degree (M.S.E.E.) from Oregon State University. I have 3 patents awarded, 1 patent pending, and a drawer of invention notebooks that may see the light of USPTO someday. I love the creative process and the ideas that come oh so often about how to make things "better." You notice those quotes? A mind filled with ideas is the fertile ground for change.

Some of my elusive inventions have been: visibility (rain) sensing windshield wiper blade delay compensation, garage door opener sensor tied to your car's VIN, a digital watch with an analog face (done), traffic control adaptation system integrated in cellphone triangulation systems, portable personal data devices integrated with remote systems, product identification coding for same, and more.

I am currently introducing the world to my latest invention, Insetcards.

Meanwhile, back to the project.
